The Klietz Family Farm
Whitewater, Wisconsin

Our Story
Set on two hundred acres in beautiful Rock County Wisconsin, the Dairy farm has been in the Rabenhorst Family for 75 years. Third-generation Dairy farmers Bo and Linda Klietz operate the farm today with their daughters Scarlett and Karleigh. The Dairy farm was home to 70 Holstein Dairy cows, heifers, calves, a bull and a steer. The cows were milked twice per day in their double nine-swing parlor. The herd was sold on December 30th, 2021 with the exception of three Holstein heifers who descend from Linda’s great grandfather B.W. Rabenhorst breeding stock from the 1920's.
300 meat and dairy goats came to the farm between April and December 2021. We raise them for targeted grazing, rotational grazing, meat production, and a few other projects in the works. The farm primarily raises corn, soybeans, and alfalfa for feed and marketing. We are currently looking for other specialty crops to grow and diversify the farm.
The farm features include a 1950’s modern ranch-style home and a 200,000-square-foot 150-year-old white barn in the process of being thoughtfully renovated to accommodate modern usage. Two large pole sheds, a free-stall barn built for the dairy cows now house the goats, several smaller outbuildings a pond and a creek also adorned the property.

What to Know
During your consultation, our goat crew specialist will examine your property and make recommendations customized to your specific needs. We evaluate the area for the grazing crew’s transportation maneuverability, and ease of unloading and reloading the grazing crew.

Our specialist also works with you to determine the best grazing methods to clear the areas you have in mind. This is also when we determine where fencing can be installed. We also take a close look at the area to be grazed, making sure the vegetation there is best for the health and well-being of the herd.
Our team cares for our four-legged foragers while on the job, including daily watering and sunlight for the solar-powered fence energizers.
If your dates are at all flexible, please let us know. We book up quickly, especially in summer, but would love to find a way to accommodate your schedule. Please understand that it's hard to determine exactly when our goats will arrive to your job: it's all based on how quickly the previous job went and where you are located. We do our best to keep in touch with you as things change, and like to make sure you are available when we're able to bring the goats.
